Water Analysis
The Water Analysis Section is fully equipped to provide fast and reliable analytical tests on potable, industrial and effluent water using proven World-Class test methods and ISO certified precision test equipment, according to recognised international standards. The results are guaranteed, reproducible and repeatable.
Chemical Analysis
Precision electronic instruments that include Photometers, Atomic Absorbance Spectrophotometer, Hydrocarbon Analyser, pH, TDS, Turbidity , Dissolved Oxygen, Chlorometer and conductivity meters among others are used to conduct tests and produce immediate, accurate and repeatable results on the following tests and elements: Calcium hardness, Magnesium, Chloride, Potassium, Hardness CaCO3, Sulphates, Nitrates, Fluorides, Alkalinity, Odour, and Colour, pH, heavy metals Manganese, Chromium, Lead, Nickel, Cobalt, Copper, Zinc, Cadmium, Iron, Mercury, Arsenic, Aluminium and Selenium ), turbidity, dissolved oxygen, TDS and conductivity.

Oil Analysis - Tribology
Betach uses the latest and most advanced analytical instruments to offer accurate and speedy service to our clients. We understand that time is of essence in producing results for any corrective measures to be taken hence the reason why we invested in the most modern, accurate and fast analytical instruments. We test for the following parameters: Viscosity, Particle classification and quantification, wear metals, Total Base number (TBN), Total Acid Number (TAN), Oxidation, Nitration, Sulfation, incorrect lubricant, Additive depletion, Soot, Glycol/antifreeze, water and fuel dilution and any other tests as requested by the clients.
Betach Laboratory currently has expanded into transformer oil and fuel analysis as per demand in industry.

Food Quality Testing - Nutritional Value and Food Chemistry
We also have the capability and capacity to conduct facility hygiene inspections for canteens, restaurants and other work areas. Our processes and equipment are capable of producing fast and accurate results to enable organizations and institutions to be proactive and improve their hygiene status. The microbiology tests on food and swabs include tests for Total Coliforms, E.Coli, Staphylococcus, shigella and Salmonella.
Metal Assays
We pride ourselves in efficient metal assay services. We do Precious Metal Testing and Inspections. Our expertise includes the use of classical assay methods, such as gravimetric (wet chemistry) and fire assay as well as instrumental techniques, including Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES), Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) and X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF).
